Individual Storage Usage

This page will walk you through the new Accounts Tab Google Workspace "Storage" feature and functionality.


HIGH LEVEL INFO:

  • There are many use cases that require an admin to monitor or understand how their users are managing storage space within the Google Workspace environment. This is becoming a greater concern as Google Workspace continues to limit storage space and quotas.


STEP ONE:

Sign into your ManagedMethods platform.

STEP TWO:

Navigate to the Audit & Control page, and select the Name of your desired Cloud Environment.

  • (Global Views will show all accounts in your domain, while filtered views will show only users for that view)


STEP THREE:

Navigate to the "Accounts" tab.

  • From the tabs summary section identify the new column called "Storage"

  • Storage: The total size of space an account is using within your Google Workspace environment.

(Tip: Use the column sort arrows to quickly indicate the user(s) taking up the most/least Google Workspace storage space.)

STEP FOUR:

Identify and click on a data point.

  • Storage Details: Indicates storage distribution per Google Workspace source on an individual user. Also identifies the storage space for your environment and how much this users is accounting for.

  • (Example: 4.0 GB of UNLIMITED)

  • Gmail: Storage space used by Gmail.

  • Drive: Storage space used by Google Drive.

  • Photos: Storage space used by Google Photos.

  • Others: Storage space used by Other.
