Overview - Classes Tab

Classes provides a central hub for creating, managing, and launching classroom monitoring sessions.

This guide covers the four main sections of Classroom Manager:


CREATING A NEW CLASS

Google "Classrooms" sync automatically to the platform every 24 hours. There are also two creation options located at the top-right of the screen:

Click the + Add button to manually create a single class.

  • This action provides class naming, teacher(s) assignment and student(s) rostering.

Click the Import option for bulk-creating classes.

  • This action is ideal for admins setting up large environment's. The "Download Template File" provides formatting examples. "Upload File" will generate all classroom related setups based on inputs from selected file.

Click the โŸณ Refresh icon at any time to see the latest updates on the class summary list.


FINDING AND FILTERING CLASSES

The Filter options help when needing to quickly identify specific classes.

Click Search after setting filters to apply them.

Click Reset to clear filters and view all results.

  • Name: Return classes based on name input.

  • Teacher: Select specific teacher to view assigned classes.

  • Student: Select specific student to view enrolled classes.

  • Active Session Only: Toggle ON to hide all inactive class sessions.


UNDERSTANDING THE CLASS LIST

The summary section lists all available classes for access and management.

  • Name: Unique class identifier.

  • Teacher(s): Email related to assigned teacher(s).

  • Student(s): Total count of enrolled students.

  • Active: Indicates teacher enabled class sessions.

  • Actions: Options for class management and sessions.


MANAGING INDIVUDIAL CLASSES (ACTIONS)

The Actions column provides various options for each class.

Click the Edit pencil icon to adjust class details.

  • This is used to apply a name change, add or remove students and update teacher assignments.

Click the Schedule calendar icon to set reoccurring sessions.

  • This is used to create or edit session times. Scheduled sessions run automatically.

Click the History clock icon to review class session details.

  • This is used to review session history. Need more visibility, select the action option to explore full audit details.

Click the Delete trash icon to remove classes.

  • This is used to permanently delete a class from the system.

Click the Start Session button to manually begin class session.

  • This is used to begin a monitoring session for related participants. Active sessions allow teacher's to see student screens and manage their online activity in real-time.
