Knowledge Base - Set Policy Violation Alerts

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

Policies can be configured to assist with alerting and taking automated actions. Alerts identify content that meets violation conditions. Automated remediation can be set to alleviate needs for manual intervention. Certain violations may present a higher priority level compared to others.

Detail

Policies contain two email alert settings. The top page input provides an email containing a 4 hour summary of violations.

The policy input provides an immediate email violation alert. Both allow for customized subjects and color flags.

Customize Alerts:

Alerts can be customized with unique violation email subjects. Colors can also be associated to violations as a secondary identifier. Providing customizable email subjects and color flags will help users clearly identify violations based on severity or other internal factors.

Every 4 hours a violation summary email is sent to users noted in top "Email" field.

Individual violations can be set to trigger immediate notifications. These alerts go to user(s) input on "Send email to" field.

Note:

  • Deselecting "Notify admin on violation" will disable all violation alerts.

  • "Notify Admin" checkbox is required for granular "Send email to" alerts.
