How to close a browser tab on a student's screen

This guide will detail how to close a browser tab a student has open and close browser tabs across all students.

Note: Closing a Tab in any of the methods shown below will not prevent the student from opening a new tab and returning to the website. See the guide How to block a website to block the site.


STEP ONE:

To close a specific browser tab a student has open first click on the Student's Name.


STEP TWO:

A list of the student's active browser tabs will be found on the right hand side of the screen. Find the specific browser tab you want to close.


STEP THREE:

Click Close to close the browser tab that the student has open.


STEP FOUR:

It is possible to close the active browser tab the student has open. This can be done by selecting the Three Dots found next to Take Screenshot. This can be done on an individual student when looking at all student screens or when clicked into a single student. Click Close Active Tab and the current tab the student has open will be closed.


STEP FIVE:

To close specific browser tabs for all students in the Class Session navigate to Tabs. This will list out all the current tabs all students in the class have open.


STEP SIX:

Click Close to close this browser tab for all students in the class.
