During the class session, teachers may need to create sub-sessions to manage student(s) differently than the main class session. This guide covers how to create and manage sub-sessions.

Updated today

STEP ONE:

When the class session is active, click + Add to create a new sub-session.

STEP TWO:

A pop up dialogue box will appear, fill out the box accordingly. Click Start Session to start sub-session.

  • Name: Give the sub-session a name. The default name is "Child".

  • Time: The default end time is the same end time as the main class session.

  • Participants: Add the student(s) you'd like to add to the sub-session.

  • Default Scenes: The teacher may add a default scene but it's not necessary to start the sub-session.

STEP THREE:

SUCCESS! Once the sub-session has started, the teacher will see the new session tab next to the main tab. Under the Summary drop down, the teacher can see how many sub-sessions are active.

STEP FOUR:

To end child sessions, while under the child tab, click End Session and the student(s) will be dropped back in the main class session.

Note: Ending the child session will not end the main class session.
