Overview – Classes

The Classes page is where you view and manage every class in your domain. Each class groups a set of students under one or more teachers so that classroom-management scenes can be applied during an active session. Classes can be created manually here, imported in bulk, or synced automatically from an external system such as Google Classroom. From this page you can add, edit, schedule, and start sessions for any class.


What this guide covers


Before you begin: Open Classes from the top navigation bar. The page opens to All Classes, with a filter panel at the top and the full list of classes below. The + Add and Import buttons sit at the top right.

The All Classes List

The table lists every class in the domain. A small icon next to a class name indicates it was synced from an external source rather than created manually. The columns describe each class:

Column

Description

Name

The class name. Sortable.

Teacher(s)

The console user(s) assigned to teach the class.

Student(s)

The number of students enrolled in the class.

Created On

When the class was created. Sortable.

Third Party ID

An identifier assigned by an external system. The tooltip explains: “This ID is assigned by an external system such as Google Classroom or a Student Information System (SIS).”

Actions

Controls for managing the class (covered below).

The list is paginated, with a page-size selector at the top right. Use the refresh control to reload the latest data.

Filtering and Finding Classes

The Filter panel at the top of the page helps you narrow the list. Enter or select your criteria and choose Search; choose Reset to clear them.

Field

Description

Name

Search by class name.

Teacher

Filter by an assigned console user (Select console user).

Synced Class Nickname

Search by the nickname of a class synced from an external source.

Student

Filter by an enrolled account (Select account).

Active Session Only

Toggle to show only classes that currently have a session running.


Adding a Class

Select + Add at the top right to open the Add Class window. The Import button next to it lets you create classes in bulk from a file instead.

Field

Description

Name (required)

The class name.

Teacher(s)

One or more console users to assign as teachers. Your own account is added by default.

Student(s)

The accounts to enroll as students (Select account).

Default Scenes

The classroom-management scenes applied to the class by default (Select scenes).

Select Save to create the class. Editing an existing class opens the same window pre-filled with that class’s details.


Row Actions and Starting a Session

Each row in the list has a set of action controls plus a Start Session button:

Control

Description

Edit (pencil)

Opens the class details to change the name, teachers, students, or default scenes.

Schedule (calendar)

Manages scheduled scenes for the class. A small badge shows how many are scheduled.

History (clock)

Reviews the class’s past session history.

Delete (red trash)

Removes the class. This appears only for classes that can be deleted (typically manually created ones, not synced classes), and permanently removes the class.

Start Session

Begins an active classroom-management session for the class, applying its scenes.

Note: Deleting a class is permanent. Synced classes generally cannot be deleted from this page because they are managed by the external source.
