What Is ManagedMethods?
ManagedMethods is a cyber security and safety solution for K-12. The platform operates by scanning student's Google Drives and student's Gmail for safety risks in real time.
β
The platform scans for self harm and toxicity; which looks for threatening behaviors. It as well scans for adult and violent image files.
Risks are continuously looked for in Google Drive, Gmail, and Shared Drives. ManagedMethods will email student safety members when a file has been deemed to contain a risk. Members of your team will have the ability to download these emails or files, and verify if risks need to be addressed through the ManagedMethods console. Members of your team will have tools to take notes on these risks, and organize them in order to keep your internal processes smooth.
Typically a Student Safety Team will assume the role of evaluating risks within their student body, and taking appropriate actions at a student / parent level. Utilizing the ManagedMethods console to track and organize their processes.
ManagedMethods is designed to look for student safety risks and allow you to look at those risks directly. Files and emails are common outlets for student communication, which is why ManagedMethods is focused on looking for risks in these areas. The platform will look for self harm, toxicity, and image files and bring them to your attention. No tool is perfect and ManagedMethods is specifically focused on emails and files within Google. ManagedMethods does not look at web searches or what websites a student is visiting. ManagedMethods is a tool that can be used to help find issues you may not have realized were happening.
