Experiencing the below warning message after trying to navigate to your ManagedMethods platform?
In most cases a "Your connection is not private” error means the websites SSL certificate has expired. If this certificate can't be authenticated issues may occur while loading the webpage.
This error can also stem from problems with firewall certificates.
In other events it could be an oddity occurring on your end. Below are details outlining common troubleshooting steps.
STEP ONE:
Restart your device then reattempt site access.
This can be a quick and easy solution in some cases.
STEP TWO:
Try reloading the website using a hard refresh.
(Windows: ctrl+shift+r
) or (Mac: cmd+shift+r
)
An error can be caused by sporadic behavior such as browser timeouts, unstable or weak internet connections and so on.
STEP THREE:
Access the platform using Chrome browsers Incognito mode. Open an incognito session and navigate to your platforms URL.
If you don't receive the error this could indicate an issue with your main browsers cache and cookies. Clear the cache and cookies and retry navigating to your ManagedMethods platform.
STEP FOUR:
Confirm your devices date and time is synced to your browser. Check your device settings then reload the webpage.
If these settings are unsynced a connection error can occur while attempting to access certain sites.
VIEW SITE CERTIFICATE:
Check if a sites certificate is valid by clicking the "Lock" icon to the left of the URL.
Then click "Connection is secure".
Lastly select "Certificate is valid".
This will expose all General information and SSL Details.
