Overview of Devices Page

Devices Section

The Devices section of the page shows you how many devices are connected and have the extension installed. It also will show you the most common version of Chrome of all devices connected.

Filter Section

The filter section lets you filter the devices table at the bottom of the page. You can filter based on one or more of the following criteria: Manged Status, Last Heard From, Organizational Unit, Lost or Stolen Status and Email

Device Table Section

The device table has 8 columns that give you different information about a particular device. The data available is as follows:

  • Last Seen From Icon - This column is unlabeled, but is an icon that is either Green, Yellow or Gray. Green means it was seen in the last 24 hours. Yellow means it was seen in the last week and Gray means it hasn't been seen in over a month.

  • Device ID - This shows either the MAC address, if it's a managed device, or a device ID that we generate for it.

  • Managed - Indicates if the device is managed or not.

  • Chrome Version - Last reported version that the device was running

  • Logged in Account - Last reported account that logged into this device.

  • Last Known Location - Last reported location that someone logged into this device from

  • Last Heard From - Last reported time that this device reported back to the server.

  • Actions -

    lets you set the lost or stolen status.

    opens further details about that device.

    enables device tracking.

Filtering Devices

  1. Navigate to the Devices Tab by clicking the Device tab at the top of the page.

  2. Fill out the form named Filter with the various options:

    • ManagedStatus(es) - Whether the device is a managed device or not

    • Organizational Unit - Which OU the device belongs to

    • Email - Email address of the account that logged into a device

    • Last Heard From Between - A date range for devices that have checked in with the server between the selected times

    • Lost or Stolen Status - Device lost or stolen status.

  3. After filling out the form, click Search

    • You can also click the Reset button next to search to clear all the fields in the filter form.

  4. You will see the filter be applied and show the table data below.

Tracking Devices

  1. Navigate to the Devices Tab by clicking the Device tab at the top of the page.

  2. Identify the Device you want to track using the various Filter options:

    • ManagedStatus(es) - Whether the device is a managed device or not

    • Organizational Unit - Which OU the device belongs to

    • Email - Email address of the account that logged into a device

    • Last Heard From Between - A date range for devices that have checked in with the server between the selected times

    • Lost or Stolen Status - Device lost or stolen status.

  3. Click

    within the Actions column to start tracking.

Downloading CSV

  1. Navigate to the Devices Tab by clicking the Device tab at the top of the page.

  2. Fill out the form named Filter with the various options:

    • ManagedStatus(es) - Whether the device is a managed device or not

    • Organizational Unit - Which OU the device belongs to

    • Email - Email address of the account that logged into a device

    • Last Heard From Between - A date range for devices that have checked in with the server between the selected times

    • Lost or Stolen Status - Device lost or stolen status.

  3. After filling out the form, click Search

    • You can also click the Reset button next to search to clear all the fields in the filter form.

  4. You will see the filter be applied and show the table data below.

  5. Click the button at the top and bottom of the table called Download CSV

  6. This will start a download of your filtered data.

  7. If you wish to download all available data hit the reset button in the form and then click Download CSV again.
