Content Filter Installation (Chromebooks)

This guide will walk you through the process of force installing Content Filter for your Google domain.


(Note: Install requires Google account with "Super Admin" role applied.)


STEP ONE:

Navigate and login as an admin to Google Admin Console.


STEP TWO:

Using the left side menu click the following path...

"Devices" > "Chrome" > "Apps & extensions".


STEP THREE:

From the top subtab options select "Users & browsers".

On the left under "Apps & Extensions" select the Organizational Unit(s) or Group(s) that the Content Filter should be installed for. Selecting the root OU will apply to all.


STEP FOUR:

After selecting the OU(s) or Group(s) hover over the "+" icon located in the bottom right.

Select "Add from Chrome Web Store".


STEP FIVE:

Use the "View app by ID" field to input bdihlblbmmgdnpdadmgkmmnknecngknc

After the input is applied click "Select".


STEP SIX:

From the "App" summary list select "Content Filter".

On the right side under "Content Filter" update...

"Installation policy" field to "Force install".

AND

"Permissions and URL access" field to "Allow all permissions".

After field updates click "Save" from top right of page.


STEP SEVEN:

Using the same admin account, navigate and login to Google Admin Console.

Validate "Client ID" field is "101744962926835013174" then click "AUTHORIZE".


STEP EIGHT:

Depending on your domains third party app configuration, you may need to allow the following client ID in order to use google SSO to sign into your instance.

INSTALLATION COMPLETE:

The "Content Filter" extension will now start deploying to the selected OU(s)/Group(s) accounts.
