How to Mark a Device as Lost or Stolen

Report a managed device as lost or stolen directly from the Devices page, and mark it as found once it's recovered.

Note: Marking a device as Lost or Stolen is a status flag for tracking purposes and does not remotely lock or wipe the device.


STEP ONE

From the top navigation, click Devices to open the list of all connected devices in your domain.

Click Devices in the top navigation bar.


STEP TWO

Locate the device you want to report. You can scan the list directly, or use the Filter panel to search by Device Id, Email, Model, Serial Number, or Organizational Unit. Click the Device Id to open its details.

STEP THREE

On the Device Details page, review the General information to confirm you have the correct device, including the Id, Model, and Logged in account(s).

Confirm the device details before making any status changes.


STEP FOUR

Click the lock icon next to Lost or Stolen. Enter an optional message describing the situation, then click Save.

Enter a message and click Save to confirm.


STEP FIVE

The device now shows Lost or Stolen: Yes along with the timestamp and your message. When the device is recovered, click the lock icon again and confirm Mark Found or Retrieved to clear the status.
