PRODUCT UPDATES

AUG '26

New Features

  • CF/CM: We have added clear visual indicators to inform users whenever Content Filter policies or Classroom Manager features are inactive. A "Disabled" banner/indicator now appears across Policy Tabs and the Classes Tab whenever: The "Disable Policies & Classroom" toggle is turned on, and when the system is operating outside of scheduled hours (off-schedule). While the indicator alerts users that rules are not actively running or being enforced, policy and classroom tabs remain fully accessible and editable so administrators can continue managing settings seamlessly.

  • CM: We've improved the way class schedules are displayed within the classroom session history to prevent confusion between past and upcoming sessions. There is now a "Scheduled" Indicator. When a scheduled class is set to occur in the future, it will now explicitly display a "scheduled" warning/tag next to it in the class log.

  • CF: We have introduced a streamlined way to search for specific sites across all categories at once in the "Policy-Allow" and "Policy-Block" Category tabs. Users will now find a newly added "Search all Sites" button. You can now input a site name into the modal to search the entire system, bypassing the need to manually expand and sift through each individual category to find where a specific site is located.

  • CF: We have updated the Content Filter deployment process so that custom groups automatically populate in the "Group" dropdown menu. When deploying changes to groups within the Content Filter, users will now see a clickable list of all their Custom Groups immediately upon selecting the dropdown. Note: To keep the list manageable and organized, this dropdown specifically displays Custom Groups rather than populating both Custom and Google Groups.

  • CM: We have introduced a new automated method to sync class rosters from Student Information Systems (SIS) into Classroom Manager via a nightly SFTP upload. Administrators can now configure a nightly SFTP connection to upload roster data using the standard OneRoster CSV specification. Updates are processed automatically overnight, eliminating the need for manual CSV imports for supported formats.

Bug Fixes

  • CM: We have resolved an issue where preloaded content (such as web games) remained functional in a student's browser after a Classroom Manager (CM) class session ended. When a teacher temporarily allows access to a normally blocked site during a class session, the site will now automatically become blocked the moment the class session concludes.

  • CM: We have resolved a bug on the Device tab where the "Model" filter was incorrectly restricting search terms. Previously, the filter would only successfully complete a search if the input consisted of numbers, and would fail if letters were used. The system has been updated so users can now successfully use letters and text to search for, and filter device models.

  • CM: We have resolved an intermittent issue where attempting to save a class in Classroom Manager (CM) would sometimes fail or fail to respond.

CONTENT FILTER:

  • In the 'Violations' tab the "Device Ip" filter name has been updated to "External/Internal lp" filter.

In "Configure Notification" modal the default time for "Alert Period" was "8am to 9am" this has been updated to "8am to 5pm".

Bug Fixes

  • The "Teacher" and "Student" columns in the Classes page were overlapping and the user was unable to see the students count. This has been fixed, the user is now able to see the number of students in the class.

  • Information from Google classroom was not getting synced nightly with CF and CM. The syncing has been fixed, updates to google classroom will now be seen in CF and CM the next day.

  • When a user used the "Import" file feature to upload blocked websites into the Blocklist page the Category they chose in the Import modal was not getting updated on the page. The "Category" selected in the import modal are now being updated after an import.

  • The order of the students screen in an active class session was not keeping to format when the user changed their screen size. The fix has made it so the format for the screens stays the same as the screen gets bigger or smaller.
